Nano Network | Nano Network - Nasjonal forskerskole i nanoteknologi for mikrosystem

The courses in this portfolio will be offered on compact form, which implies that lectures and practical training will be scheduled so as to facilitate attendance by PhD candidates from all the partner institutions. A possible arrangement is that lectures are concentrated in two series of one week duration each. Students traveling from other institutions to attend courses may apply for financial support to cover travel and lodging. The courses only run if a sufficiently large number of students sign up for it.

The network can also contribute financially to the development of new courses on compact form within nanotechnology for microsystems. Contact us for further information.

Course at NTNU?

PhD-candidates at University of Bergen, University College of Southeast Norway, or University of Oslo who plan to take any of the courses given at NTNU need to fill out the registration form for external candidates. You also need to submit confirmation that you have been accepted as a PhD student at your home institution. More information about research courses for external candidates available on NTNUs web pages.

The deadline for visiting student applications at NTNU is 15 September for the fall semester and 15 February for the spring semester. The same deadlines also apply for registrations to courses. If it’s past the deadline, contact the course teacher to check out the possibilities to follow the course anyway.

Course at University of Oslo (UoO)?

PhD-candidates from NTNU, University of Bergen, or University College of Southeast Norway who plan to take any courses given at University of Oslo needs to fill out this application for acceptance at UoO (PDF). The deadline is 1. August for the fall semester. For the spring semester the deadline is 12. January. You also need to submit confirmation that you have been accepted as a PhD student at your home institution. For more information about a doctoral degree from UoO, check these pages.

Registration deadline for courses at UoO is 1 September for the fall semester and 1 February for the spring semester. If it’s past the deadline, contact the course teacher to check out the possibilities to follow the course anyway.

Course at University College of Southeast Norway (USN)?

PhD-candidates from NTNU, University of Oslo, or University of Bergen who plan to take any courses given at University College of Southeast Norway need to fill out the form for external applicants on USN’s website. You also need to submit a confirmation that you have been accepted as a PhD student at your home institution. More information is available here.
