Lab courses at partner institutions
| PhD candidates in the network who want to attend lab courses at partner institutions can apply for travel support from the network. |

| Our travel grants are limited to NOK 2000 pr roundtrip, with a maximum of four roundtrips per course. Documented costs for accommodation are covered up to NOK 800 per day for the duration of the course. Daily allowances (kostpenger) is limited to NOK 200 per day. Your expenses will be reimbursed based on original receipts. |

Lab facilities at the University of Bergen
The UiB Nanostructures Laboratory was opened in 2011. It is a state of the art facility for versatile nanostructuring, equipped with a Raith E-line electron lithography device, a reactive ion etcher (790+) from Plasmatherm, a fume cupboard for wet etching (including HF etching) and an electron beam evaporator (BJD 2000) from Themescal. The critical steps are performed in an ISO 5 classified cleanroom from MCRT.
