Boat trip
On Tuesday 1. June we will go on a trip with MS Klipperfjord in the local archipelago. The boat picks us up at the quay outside the hotel at 18:15, and we will return around 22:00. We have to walk about 5 minutes to get back to the hotel from where the boat docks.
A buffet dinner will be served on board. It will mainly be seafood, but also some salads. Two drinks are included per person. You will get "drink tickets" (bong) upon registration. Additional drinks can be bought on board, but they only accept cash.
Even though the weather is nice on shore, it can be cold at sea, so bring some warm clothes.
How to get to Tønsberg?
Traveling by plane?
You can either travel by plane to Oslo Airport Gardermoen with Norwegian or SAS or to Sandefjord Airport Torp with Wideroe.
From Sandefjord Airport Torp you can take the train (NSB) to Tønsberg. It takes only 17 minutes, and the train leaves every hour. There is a shuttle bus from the terminal to the train stations before every train departure. The bus takes 4 minutes.
From Gardermoen you can either take the local train (NSB) or the bus (TIMEekspressen) all the way from Gardermoen to Tønsberg. The local train takes 2 hours and 6 minutes, while the bus takes 2 hours and 38 minutes. If you are in a hurry it might be faster to take the airport express train to Oslo central station and the local train or bus from there.
Traveling from Oslo?
You can take the bus (TIMEekspressen) or train (NSB). From Oslo central station both the bus and train take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Parking
It is possible to park in the garage of the hotel, but we can not reserve parking space there, so if it is full you will have to use regular street parking in the area. (Parking owned by Tønsberg kommune only charge in the day time, while some private parking companies charge 24 hours.)
