Institute for Microsystems Technology

Institute for Microsystems Technology at Vestfold University College is home to Norway´s largest academic environment for microsystems technology, in part because of its selection as the academic partner in the industry-academic research consortium called the Norwegian Centre of Expertise in Micro- and Nanotechnology (NCE MNT).

The department is comprised of seven research groups, all of which work on topics that are of direct relevance to the PhD Network for Nanotechnology for Microsystems. These are:

• MNEMS –Micromechanical sensors and actuators

• MOEMS

• RF MEMS

• Micropower: energy sources and components for energy capture

• BioMEMS and Microfluid components

• Fabrication, Integration, Packaging

• Nano Systems Integration
