Students from HiVe won student competition at NANOMAT seminar – 03.11.2011

We congratulate master students Quoc-Huy Nguyen and Giang Nghiem Minh, and PhD candidate Bao Quoc Ta from the Institute of Microsystem Technology at Vestfold University Collegewith the victory in the student competition at NANOMATs closing seminar, arranged by the Reseach Council of Norway. Their idea of using carbon nanotubes for water purification was voted the best of the three finalist by the participants at the seminar.The three finalists were:

  • Quoc-Huy Nguyen, Bao Quoc Ta, Minh Giang Nghiem (HIVE); “Water purifying devices using carbon nanotubes”
  • Jon Olav Grepstad (NTNU); “Photonic crystal based biosensing platform for single molecule detection”
  • Elisabeth Vågenes (NTNU); “Nanoview”

The winners get a travel grant and coaching by Connect Norge to develop their idea towards commercialization.
