Financial support for laboratory and processing expenses

The Norwegian PhD Network on Nanotechnology for Microsystems offers financial support to cover laboratory and processing expenses for PhD candidates and post doctors in the network. Support is granted based on applications and is limited to maximum NOK 40.000 per student.

Travel grants for network participants

The Norwegian PhD Network on Nanotechnology for Microsystems offers travel grants to network participants in the following two categories:

  • International conference where the PhD candidate is presenting his/her work. Maximum amount per applicant is NOK 15.000.
  • Extended research visits at universities or research institutions abroad.

Travel support for PhD courses

PhD candidates may apply for financial support to cover travel and subsistance, when attending a PhD course at institutions other than their own.

Our travel grants are limited to NOK 2000 pr roundtrip, with a maximum of four rundtrips per course. Documented costs for accommodation are covered up to NOK 800 per day for the duration of the course. Daily allowances (kostpenger) is limited to NOK 200 per day. The maximum support for one course is NOK 20 000. Your expenses will be reimbursed based on original receipts.

Travel support for lab courses

PhD candidates in the network who want to attend lab courses at partner institutions can apply for travel support from the network.

Our travel grants are limited to NOK 2000 pr roundtrip, with a maximum of four rundtrips per course. Documented costs for accommodation are covered up to NOK 800 per day for the duration of the course. Daily allowances (kostpenger) is limited to NOK 200 per day. The maximum support for one course is NOK 20 000. Your expenses will be reimbursed based on original receipts.
