Travel support for PhD courses

  

PhD candidates may apply for financial support to cover travel and subsistance, when attending a PhD course at institutions other than their own.

Please send us an e-mail with the following information:

  • Name of candidate
  • Name of supervisor
  • Which course you plan to attend
  • Approximate amount needed to cover travel and lodging

PhD candidates in the network who want to attend lab courses at partner institutions can apply for travel support from the network.

For teachers

  

Financial support to establish new PhD courses on compact form

  

Course teachers and thesis advisors within the network who teach a course within the nanotechnology field that might be suitable for students at the partner institutions as well as for those in their own institution, might consider reorganizing the course and teach it on compact form. This will facilitate the attendance from students from all partner institutions. The PhD Network can contribute financially to new courses or reorganization of old courses that are within the scope of the network. Contact us if you have any questions or send an application with the following information:

  • Title of the PhD course
  • Description of the curriculum
  • If it is an already existing course or a newly established course
  • Budget for the work of reorganizing/establishing the course

Financial support for local or national events with invited guests

  

If you want to arrange a workshop, series of lectures or another kind of local of national event within the field of nanotechnology for microsystems, you can apply for financial support from the Norwegian PhD Network on Nanotechnology for Microsystems.
